Music For Las' Program

The CDs have been sent to all to learn. You probably know most or all of the songs. We will not be able to finalize the list until we rehearse them. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE SONGS THAT YOU ARE REQUESTING WITH PRIORITIES AND WHO WILL SING THE SONGS. Hopefully all requests will be met but just in case we run out of time we can at least get to the high priority songs.

I still need to get CDs to the piano player but have lost his number and address. If you have it, call me or send me an email. - Wallace

What's Up With Wallace

Cecily graduated from middle school last week with Gold Honor Roll Certificate (3.5 or higher). It is such a joy to be given the task of being her father.

Dallis came and spent the day with us last weekend. She is too cute and too smart.

Old Issue dated March 16, 1992 #1

Greetings!!!
This is a rough, rough copy of the newsletter I'm going to write. I didn't get a lot of feedback from you all, but I'm going to do it anyway. I'd like to hear from you all at least once every 3 months. Let me know what's going on and I'll pass it along. We don't all have the luxury of living near each other and I think we miss out on a lot that families can offer each other. Maybe we can communicate more through this. I know we keep in touch, but everyone doesn't keep in touch with each family member. This will allow everyone to hear from everyone if everyone at least writes me four times a year. This doesn't take the place of our present contact, but it is in addition to what we already have. Well, here goes!

Birthdays:
I believe Joe turned 47 on 7 February
Dorothy - 5 February
Wayne H. turned 35 on 6 February
Little Wayne O. - 11 February
Candace P. - 18 February
Jacquelyn George - 13 February
Veronica P. - 1 March

History:
Who doesn't know that George Bell, Sr. and Mollie Levingston Bell were the great grandparents? Did you know that great grandma had two kids and 1 on the way when they jumped the broom? OOOH!

Memories:
Remember when Aunt Callie gave Wallace 50cents and told him to go to college?
Aunt Zannie would yell as she passed the house "Be back to spend the black"!!

In Loving Memory of: Shinet Bryant 17 January 1899 - 2 March 1970

We'll think of Daddy on 21 March.

News:
Guess who showed up at my house on Sunday, 8 March! James Waylon! He was in the area visiting Univ of Wa. He sure is a nice guy. I'm proud to be his aunt.

FOOTNOTE: As you can see, I can't do this without all of you, so please participate. Help! Keep me off the phone! (Smile) I love all of you. rik

Reminder from Rikki:
Mrs. Holyfield has said that her empty house is available for us in August. In her words "I would love for you all to use it". I believe it has two bedrooms and a large front room. I will get more information and provide as I get it.

Details About the Program

Wallace has been in touch with Johnny Parish [musician that played at Joe's funeral] and he has agreed to play for us in August. I touched basis with Rev Duty this past week and she was on spring break in Dallas yet still excited about the program. She advised that we send a flyer to her and to the church Secretary, Blondzetta. Fliers will be mailed this week. Wallace is getting the tapes made to be distributed. Thank You, Rikki for your help. You are always there for us, no matter what it is.-Jean
We are still asking for feedback.

Some Family members have not given any ideas. We don't want to leave anyone out. Thanks. Jean

I am volunteering to do the presentation for Lass's appreciation. Please send info or stats or whatever you have to Rikki. We will get all info coordinated for one presentation. I think we can also do individual personal remarks as was done at Vata's retirement. Again, all input is welcome. Jean

Note from Jean:
Recommendations for Attire by Mattie:
Women---Saturday --Black with gold accessories [scarves or jewelry],
Wednesday Night-- Off White with purple or black blouse.
Feedback encouraged.

Bell Gram Blog

As technology advances, so does the Bell Gram. We started it in 1992 on a Brother typewriter. It was necessary to spend lots of time at Kinko's. Well, we have come a long way. As you can see with this format there are many possibilities that we haven't had on AOL. We will be able to add multiple links and photos. I'm kinda new at it so it may take some time for me to figure out all that's possible. So I will get started by transferring the latest information from the old BG and after that I'm hoping for some links and photos and ideas. Unlike the forum it's very simple to access. Just click and read. Anything you want added, email to me. However, if you wish to, you can make a comment at the bottom of each entry. I will also transfer the items from the forum. Hope you all will enjoy this. Let me know what you think. -Rik
