Happy Halloween and/or Happy Harvesting!

Tips For Friday!

Cooking Stuffed Turkey

The best temperature for cooking stuffed turkey is 325 degrees F. At lower temperatures, the stuffing doesn't get out of the danger zone of 40 degrees F to 140 degrees F, giving bacteria more time to multiply. Higher temperatures bring the turkey and stuffing to safer temperatures sooner, but may shorten the cooking time so that not all bacteria are killed. Slow overnight cooking, with the dressing in the bird causes numerous cases of food poisoning.

Happy Birthday, Chris!!

Dearest Chris. Today is your 76th Birthday. I am a lucky person to have you in my life for 51 of those years and married to you for 49 of them. You have always been so kind. You always told me, "Whatever you want." You wanted most of all for the kids to be taken care of. You were always proud of Hank and Rick and they always make you smile. You always accepted my family unconditionally. You never complained when I had to go home to take care of my parents. You took care of everything when I returned to school with 2 small kids and a full time job. The last few years have been unfair to you. (Even your Dr. said so), but you keep on keeping on. When someone ask how are you. You always say, " I'm doing just fine". You are a special gift to us and we love you dearly. When you were in the hospital and I would be sitting at your bedside, even though you wanted me there, you would say, "Go on home and see about Kamasi." In the mist of your trials, you thought of your family. When you hear of Jaivon calling you "Paw-Paw", you get the biggest grin on your face and when you hear of Kaiden's successes, it makes you so happy. We appreciate you and love you. Happy Birthday, Chris. - Jean

To Chris
Have a wonderful day!
As always , we are thinking about you and look forward to coming up soon to help celebrate your special day!

To a wonderful Father & Grand-Father!
Happy Birthday

Birthdays and Dates to Remember:
Happy Belated Birthday to:

Corrections:

History
I believe that Grandma Alma's mother was Lou Pace James (actually Liza). I'm told that she would give all the children around onion to keep them from getting sick during cold and flu season.

In Loving Memory of: Plummer Bell 10 August 1884 - 4 June 1974

Memories
Remember When: 1) You all were going down to Uncle Robert's one day. You all saw him walking and LouVata said "Uncle Robert, give me a tater". He said "I'll give you something, but won't be a tater" as he shook his walking stick at her. (Contributed by Jean & Wallace).

2) Aunt Willie and Uncle Lonnie used to fight over milk. So one or the other would cut out a gash in the top of his or her carton and then they would fight over who had the carton with the gash in the top.
