Letter from Chester Williams of Inter-city and African Ministries
Greetings!
I trust that you all arrived home safely.
The event for Mattie was stellar.
Thank you all for doing it. Your family is a special aggregate of
women, men, and youth. I envy the unity and love you exhibit. Kudos to
all your siblings and to their children.
On another note, I didn't know
until after everything was over that that I was you sitting next to the
man (your husband?) who was sitting next to you. Mattie told me
afterwards. I would have exchanged greetings with you had I known. My
apologies. I tend to be a bit shy, believe it or not, but not that shy.
Hope to sneak in on one of
your family reunions one day, just to absorb some of that uniqueness
with which you all are so blessed.

I leave in a couple of weeks for Ghana and will rehearse in my mind and spirit the joys of the celebration for Mattie and for meeting her family in enviable array.
