Happy birthday, Booby! I hope you have a wonderful day! It's good that we got to spend so much time with our nieces and nephews due to you guys spent your summers in Louisiana with us. One summer while you went back and forth between Mama's and Daddy's house and the house of your Dad's parents you had a conflict with your Dad's parents. I can't remember the details. At this time I had left Mama's them house and was living on my own a bit further down the road. I guess you were about 8 or so. Anyway, you left your paternal grandparents due to some conflict. You obviously didn't find the satisfaction you sought at your maternal grandparents (my parents, your mom's parents) because you passed up their house and made it to mine. I was not home when you got there. I can still remember driving home and seeing you sitting on the porch, dressed so neatly with your blue samsonite suitcase by your side. When I saw you sitting there with those big beautiful eyes I knew someone had messed with my Booby and you had come to the right place. That memory is still very vivid for me. So I know you are a grandfather now, but in some sense I'm afraid you will always be my Booby. I love you very much. Rikki

To My Big Brother

Hay grandpa! Congrats on your grandson. You are so special and unique to our family. The boys just love going to your house. They continue to talk about when they slept at your house. They talk about eating Mc D's and all the snacks full of sugar. They talk about
all the TV they watched all night and the PG-13 Movie you let them watch. They just love Uncle Carlton, (EXCEPT WHEN YOUR SMOKING). Kids just love you. So I know Aiden will have many special memories with you. Thank you for all the Vanilla Bean Cheesecakes for my b-day. As far back as I can remember you were always admired. Everyone loved Carlton. I was so proud you were my brother. All the girls were really nice to me because they wanted to get to you. So I kept them all away. I remember all the fun adventures you took us on when we were young. You always came up with some kind of game for us to play in the house or outside with our friends in the park. You have that special something that makes people just love U. I see it when your with your friends at work or wherever you go. I am so happy and proud to have any and everyone know you are my BIG BROTHER. I love you Carl. Hope you had a wonderful birthday.

LOVE URS

Hello Carl,
Enjoyed spending your birthday with you in AC.
I remember growing up you were always the life of the party. However what stands out the most was our class trips Peoples AME Zion Sunday school. In 1982 Mrs Jeulamae (sunday school teacher)took us to Great Adventure. She divided us in 5 groups however, everyone wanted to be in Carltons group. He was a leader, knew the layout of the park, and made sure we had time to ride all the rides and play the games at night. During this trip despite Mrs Jeus' request we had 2 groups instead of 5 and it took longer for everyone to get on the rides. The children were fine with the long wait because they had the opportunity to be with Carlton. I remember one person saying " I do not care about how much longer we have to wait on line as long as I am standing on line with Carlton.

Still today people continue to gravitate towads him. At work he is admired by his collegues and customers. His co-workers rave about how much they enjoy working with him. This past Christmas Carl was given a $100.00 tip from a customer which far exceeded the price of the bill.

He is well loved by many .... it is common place to run into his friends, classmates, or co-workers and have them share a positive story about a time they had with Carlton.

Keep on Keepin on Carl
Love You
Roni

BOOBIE, RMEMBER WHEN U MADE US GIVE TT A RIDE BY GOING IN THE BASEMENT AND PUTTING HIM IN THE DRYER FOR 5 MINS? WE GOT BEAT FOR THAT. ONE TIME YOU MADE US TAKE ALL THE CUSHIONS OFF THE LIVING ROOM COUCH AND PUT TT ON THEM. THEN WE RAN AROUND THE LIVING ROOM MAKING AMBULANCE SOUNDS RIGHT UP UNTO THE POINT WHERE MOM AND DAD WALKED IN THE FRONT DOOR. WE DROPPED THE CUSHION AND TT AND RAN. LOL THAT WAS ANOTHER WHIPPING RONI AND I WE GOT COURTESY OF YOU.

As I sit here listening to all these wonderful things people are saying about my brother , it made me think about all the trouble he caused too.... you know the ambulance/seat cushion thing where i never got to finish my ride, putting me in the dryer, all the whippins we got cause he had us doing a lil bit of eveything.

I think its his fault Billie had us all go out back and pick our own switch, she had them lined up on the wall like SWAT shot guns.

He taught me that the thin ones with the green tips hurt more so pick a thicker one.....LOL

LOL.... We had some fun, we got some beatings but all in all it was a blast growing up with you and my sisters.....
