Hello Oey Poey. Oops, can't call you that anymore. Hello...r..r..F-Nope. Well, hi my younger sister. Forgive me for putting this in your birthday wish. That was the most poignant memorial I've read. As I read it, I didn't know the author. Keep taking those accelerated classed and you'll write like me one evening. LOL I didn't realize Anika looked like you until I saw her picture in her birthday wishes. you prepared her for survival in this world. Now for your big day. I hope you see the people you most want to see, wake up with a smile, hear from someone whose voice you long to hear, feel the hugs of someone you've missed and not be banned from the chinese buffet. LOL Enjoy it, Glen! No one would believe your age. You look marvelous! Love, your big sis, Billie
Happy Birthday Glen. I remember ---years ago when you were my baby and I would take you to Minden with me. Everyone thought you were my daughter. For a while I thought it too. Today, you are a well rounded young lady and a grandmother. But you are still my baby. I Love you. Jean
Glen,
I remember you coming over to play paper dolls with me. When I'd see you, I'd run to meet you and we'd skip, arm in arm singing "Munchie, muchie fritos corn chips". I remember your paper dolls were cut out so neat. I could never get mine that way. I remember you coming to visit when you had spent the summer in NJ. I still remember all the things you told me about your visit and the blacelet you had on that day. Sometimes you spent the night and after Mama Shinet's ghost stories we were scared when it was time to go to bed. We would talk and play games like "The man's name starts with a P and the woman's name starts with an S". You, Tony and I would line up at the faucet for water and saying "first, second and Tony said "Turd". We sang "3, 6, 9, the goose drank wine....". You taught me all the things the advantage of your 3 years seniority could teach me about family, friends, school, teachers and boys. (I should add and your less sheltered life) When we walked down the road in the hot Louisiana sun and a car stopped to give us a ride, you wanted to, but I refused so you told them "no, thanks" and kept walking with me. You knew if you'd said "yes" I would have run into the woods :-). Later when I moved to live with you all, you taught me about Daddy, farming and harmonizing (Eva, Iva, Ova, Evaline and "One Toke Over The Line"). You always had the favor of the adults. Unlike me, you were mature, responsible and liked babies a lot. You stood out with teachers from the beginning, being "Miss Mt. Olive". You were the only one so you still hold that title :-). At age 15 you taught kids in the summer. Loretta and I (at 10 and 12) would go with you and spend the day there while you taught the kids. You took that job very serious. You also taught crafts to kids in Mt. Sinai. You always had vision when it came to decorating. You still have that and it shows in the way you decorate your home and how you rearranged Nick's room so it would be more functional. I hope you enjoyed your bd gathering with family the other night and I hope you enjoy today. I'm sure you finally slept last night and had wonderful dreams after seeing the pictures of your handsome classmate yesterday. I'm LOL. I love you. Rikki
